I've thought a lot about sunburns. Remembering some of the worse one's I've had in my life and so forth. I realized something, all the worst ones, except the one on my scalp, happened when I was the one responsible for my sunscreen. In other words, when I was on an outing without mom, or since I've been an adult. Yes, this is in part due to my belief that I am unstoppable and impervious. Also a bit daft. I always, always forget how bad it is until it's happened again. I'm a wimp about it too. Poor Jason's had to put up with all the wincing and whining. But last night I managed to sleep on my back and only woke myself up a couple times trying to roll over. Is there a moral to this story? Duh, were more sunscreen, and make sure to get you're back. But, will I actually remember that next time, doubtful.
So, I've been stuck inside. I choose to sort through my fabric. Remember how clean and nice this room was a week or so ago? It's already looking better, and I'm getting lots of things planned out, it's pretty exciting. If a tad overwhelming.

New Camera!!
Finals begin today and I'm not as excited as I usually am to be done with them. It could have to day with the 17hrs I'll have this fall and knowing how much work that will be. These next few weeks of freedom don't seem as thrilling knowing what's a head of me. And that I need to spend them getting ready for grad school applications and my senior recital. Gonna be a busy summer.

Busy Spring
The Way Ladies took a trip to St. Louis recently. Hosted by my in-laws, Joe and Linda. We had a wonderful time.
I am so thankful I have such wonderful in-laws! They opened their home to us and were perfect hosts, and I was so glad Linda could spend the day with us Saturday, we all had a blast!
This weekend was the president's concert at school. Something I've participated in every spring since I started back to college. It's put on by the choir and orchestra, so I kind of have to, but I always love the music and being a part of it. I don't always love the long hours of rehearsal right at the end of the semester when I should be studying and so forth, but I soon forget that when we are in the moment. It is very frustrating at times to be around students who seem to think it is a waist of time. People in choir are there because they are music majors or they WANT to be there. GRRRR... Sometimes I wanted to turn around and tell some of them clam up and enjoy it or go away you're ruining for the rest of us! But I was good and just held my tongue. This year we did Elijah, oh, it was neat! I love Mendelssohn's music and this was one of the best, the harmonies and melodies and mingling and intertwining of voices and instruments is superb. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to participate in this sort of music making.
