Music To My Ears
Today my husband of four weeks says, "I like Saturday clean-up day". That's music, pure and simple. :)
I like it too. Makes the whole house feel better. And given the pain and agony that has been in this house this past week, feeling better is very important!
The study is still "in process", but I think it will be done soon. In fact, I'm putting most of my efforts into that so this will be quite short.
Peace.

Changes
Oops! Sorry, Thanks to Emily for this picture
We're married! The wedding was wonderful, it all kind of rushed by, but I was so happy. It was strange for me though, I'm used to doing more of the day of work for a party, and then serving and so forth, I didn't even get to see all the guests! Thank you so much to everyone who helped, you efforts added that special touch that made the day truly special.
Hind sight is 20/20, or close to it. I don't think we allowed enough time for honeymoon and unpacking. I'm still working on the latter. The former was perfect. Jason booked us a night at a hotel in Eureka Springs with a SPA day. I could live there. Oh, it was beautiful. I can't wait to go back.
Today's post is short, I'm still pretty busy with school, but hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things.

8 DAYS!
Wow. Time has flown by.
My choir director, Dr. Webb, let me barrow his bow-tie!!! So we have a good guide for a pattern for the ties!!! The rings are done, my dress only needs a hem, everyone is making such progress with their dresses. My sister will be here in 5 days!!! My house gets emptier everyday. Its great.
I need to remember to do my homework though. That is a challenge at times. I'm fortunate that it's all stuff I want to do, but making the time is another story. So far I'm doing well though. That is a very good thing.
I can't see my blog using Internet explorer still, but FireFox works just fine, so I hope others will try that if they're having issues. I've let the blogger folks know about it again. Might try Microsoft too at some point. Who knows.
OK, time for school. Maybe I will get some pics posted this weekend....that would be good.

Internet Explorer won't let me look at my blog, but apparently I can make a new post. I've notified the blogger help page, I'm not the only person having this problem and they are working on it.
Progress has been made with the wedding none the less. :) Yesterday Meredith came to the new house and we worked on dresses. I got mine grommeted and finished the waist band in Abby's skirt, which is good since she'll be here this weekend and I want to get everything fitted while she's here. :) Meredith's top is looking very nice and we were able to do the alterations and I think she got past the harder parts of the construction. I kept thinking yesterday, "She better wear this to other things, this is too much work for one day." but then, at the same time I was telling myself that my dress only has to be on for one day! But that was the whole idea behind letting the bridesmaids pick out the patterns, so they might wear them as often as they like.
Mom was here this past Saturday and we had some good mom and daughter time. Also got some things accomplished too, like packing a bunch of books and getting the guest book and some things for the project she's working on for the wedding.
So despite the trouble with Blogger, things are coming together!

Centerpieces, Necklaces and Photo Albums, OH MY!
I'm in a goofy mood. I took a test for my history class and got a good grade :) And Jason is working so hard to get his old house cleaned out, I feel bad that I can't help him more with that. But soon it will be behind him. And I had a bit of an adventure with my hot water heater today. But all is well.
The above is a picture of one of the centerpieces Linda, Jason's mom, has made for the wedding! There are so many creative people involved in this wedding that I'm sure it will be a joy just to see all the beautiful things and people in the same room. I made my necklace over the weekend, if I think of it I'll have Jason take a picture so I can post it. After I got all the stuff together that I wanted to use in it I realized most of it originated from the ocean, or a body of water. Anyone who knows Jason will get why that's neat. And my mom is on a mission to find our guest book photo album etc.
I am so blessed. I'm in love with the most wonderful of men. And he has a wonderful family that have been so welcoming of me. My own family has been so supportive and helpful through this whole process, if a bit shocked. I spent the first 27 years of my life SWEARING that I would NEVER get married. I'm still grinning about that. And to top it all off my friends. Always offering to help with any and every little thing and thinking of things that I wouldn't have thought of til it was too late! Melody had me come over last Saturday and she did a trial run of hair and make up for the wedding. She worked some magic and Jason approved of everything...'cept for the stickiness of the lip gloss. lol.
So I'm a little goofy, mostly though, I'm HUGELY grateful!

Lovely Fire
I don't know how to get the pics from Jason's camera onto my computer and I don't know if his PC is up and running yet, so I will write about Valentines Day without the picture of the fireplace gorgeousness.
First of all, thank you to everyone who helped with that move, whether by actually being there, or sending house warmings and well wishes. It all went very smoothly. Jason has this week to get the old house cleaned out then he'll be finished with it. I think he's looking forward to next Sunday.
After everyone had left I went to my house to shower and do a few things before we had our Valentines at the new house. Jason took a nap and got cleaned up. When I arrived we exchanged gifts. I had told him earlier in the week about a set of DVD's that were on sale and how I'd resisted getting them. That stinker got them for me! There are 6 or 7 movies all from literature, Jane Eyre, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Tom Jones, ....of all of them there was only one I'd ever seen before! So he made me promise not to watch any of them without him. After we see each one for the first time together then I can watch it as much as I want. He's smart. Doesn't want me watching movies instead of studying! I got him a book by an author I knew he wanted to read more. We discovered a Chinese restaurant chain had a store just up the road from the new house, so we had take out and watched a movie. He lit a fire in the fire place and we snuggled on the couch. It was the perfect end to a very productive day.
And now, I need to do a bit of sewing before I call it a night. LESS THAN 4 WEEKS!
